ČAD has been one of the most interesting and entertaining Slovak ensembles not only in extreme music since 1994. The beginnings were in the vein of grindcore and crust-punk, but these gradually became small for the trio, which began to shape their distinctive crust'n'roll sound.
Their distinctive face crystallized on Ťažký kov (Heavy Metal), where a rockier phase was balanced with grind-punk foundations in direct proportion. The more song-like expression here doesn't forget speed, hardness and pissed-offness, and the riotous lyrics are capable of entertaining, making you think and throwing your fists. And since ČAD have always avoided from major genre departures and untamed experimentation, they've stuck to it on other albums, including the still-current Medvede from 2021.
It's hard to find an analogy to ČAD, ČAD are simply ČAD!
